Wollongong Harbour's Breakwater Lighthouse might not be guiding ships anymore, but it still stands as a charming symbol of the past. Since 1974, it has been inactive, with its light shining only on special occasions. This striking 12-meter-high (40 feet) lighthouse, with its tapered round wrought iron tower and pristine white paint, is a piece of history you can't miss. Although it was once in a state of serious disrepair, a dedicated restoration in 1978 and 1979 brought it back to life, preserving its condition for future generations to admire.
