Its origins trace back to the 1500s when a printer scrambled Cicero’s text to create a type specimen book. It gained modern popularity in the 1960s with Letraset sheets and later with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker, which included it as default dummy text.
Today, it’s widely used in web design, graphic design, and UX testing because its pseudo-Latin structure mimics natural language distribution without conveying meaning.
